When choosing a turkey for your Christmas celebration meal you need to know that you are getting the very best. At Normans we have used the same farmer for over 20 years and have built up great trust in him to produce and deliver the standard and quality which we expect and which our customers demand.
There is no better way to ensure traditional quality in Christmas turkeys than to choose Golden Promise. You can be assured of three things;-
- Our supplier uses traditional slow-growing stock which is grown to maturity. (Many other turkeys are only about 10 weeks old when they are slaughtered, and the meat hasn’t had time to develop its proper texture.)
- Our turkeys are raised in the most welfare-friendly free-range environment, following the Code of Practice of the Traditional Farmfresh Turkey Association (TFTA). They are fed natural foods and never given antibiotics or other additives for growth promotion. Everything is done to ensure they enjoy a stress-free life.
- We then dry pluck them and then they are hung for a minimum of seven days to mature for a better flavour. Food experts agree that all types of good meat get even better by being hung, and our turkeys are no exception.
Our turkeys are then refrigerated awaiting your collection. By doing this we know that we are in control of the whole process and able to supply you with a turkey that will be the highlight of your Christmas meal.
